Our Commitment
We want everyone to be able to use this site. That includes people who use screen reader software, a keyboard in place of a mouse, or other assistive tools. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
What We Do
We build this site with clean HTML and a clear heading order. Text stands out clearly from the background, and every image has alt text that says what it shows.
Each form field has a label, and you can fill in and send our forms without JavaScript. We never use color alone to carry meaning. You can reach every button and link with a keyboard.
This Is Ongoing Work
Access isn't a one-time checklist. As we add pages, we check new content against the same standard. If a page, image or form doesn't work well with your assistive tools, we want to know so we can fix it.

If something on this site gets in your way, call (972) 284-1841 or use the contact page. Tell us what happened and which page you were on. If you use an assistive tool, tell us which one. We'll work to fix it quickly.
Third-Party Content
This site links to city government pages, the USDA soil survey and other public sources. We don't control how accessible those outside sites are.
